Petrol price goes up by Rs6.82/litre from tomorrow

اسلام آباد…وزارت خزانہ نے پٹرولیم مصنوعات میں اضافے کی منظوری دے دی۔پٹرول کل سے 6روپے82پیسے فی لیٹر مہنگا ہو جائے گا ۔ ڈیزل کی قیمت میں ایک روپے 75 پیسے کمی کی منظوری دی گئی جب کہ ایچ او بی سی ایک روپے 50پیسے فی لیٹر مہنگا کرنے اور مٹی کاتیل 62پیسے فی لیٹر مہنگا کرنے کی منظوری دی گئی ۔ ڈیزل کے علاوہ تمام پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں اضافے کی منظوری دے دی گئی ہے

Punjab to receive rain during next 36 hours

LAHORE: Thunderstorms are expected to lash Punjab during the next 36 hours which may lead to flooding in several areas.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Rawalpindi will receive heavy rainfall.
The rainfall may cause flooding in the Jhelum and Chenab rivers as the PDMA has advised people living near the rivers to stay safe.

PM announces Rs2bn for Sindh rain, flood affectees

KARACHI: Prime Minister, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Sunday announced a relief package worth Rs2 billion rupees for the rain/flood affectees of Sindh, Geo News reported.

The Prime Minister who visited rain and flood hit areas issued orders for the release Rs710 million without dealy.

The concerned authorities were also directed to procure 25,000 tents so that victims who lost their homes to rain could be sheltered.

Kashmore and Jacobabad would get Rs200 million each‚ whereas Sukkur and Mirpur Rs100 million each and Ghotki Rs70 million.

The PM also directed the concerned authorities to leave no victim unassisted when disbursing the funds.

PM Ashraf also announced equal relief packages for South Punjab and Balochistan.

He acclaimed the army and provincial government for their relief efforts.

Earlier The Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf took an aerial view of rain/flood-hit areas in Jacobabad.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and some Ministers also accompanied the PM.

Also, officials in a briefing apprised the PM about the flood losses in Sindh in general and Jacobabd, the worst hit city, in particular.

بلوچستان کے سیلاب متاثرین گندا پانی پینے پر مجبور، امراض پھیلنے لگے

جعفر آباد … بلوچستان کے سیلاب متاثرین گندا پانی پینے پر مجبور ہوگئے ہیں جبکہ اس سے لوگوں میں وبائی امراض پھیل رہے ہیں۔ جعفرآباد ،نصیر آباد اور دیگر علاقوں میں آنے والے سیلاب متاثر ین سیکڑوں خاندان قومی شاہراہ پر پناہ لئے ہوئے ہیں، رابطہ سڑکیں بند ہونے سے متاثرین شدید غذائی قلت کا شکار ہوتے جارہے ہیں، ساتھ ہی ساتھ انہیں پینے کیلئے سیلاب کا گندا پانی ہی میسر ہے،جس کے پینے سے بچے، خواتین اور مرد پیٹ کی مختلف بیماریوں اور دیگر امراض میں مبتلا ہورہے ہیں۔ دوسری جانب صوبائی محکمہ تعلیم کے اعلامیے کے مطابق بلوچستان کے سیلاب سے شدید متاثر ہونے والے علاقوں جعفر آباد، نصیر آباد، جھل مگسی ، کچھی اور سبی اضلاع کے تمام اسکول تا حکم ثانی بند رہیں گے۔ خیرپور میں پیر کو کو اور شادی شہید کے پہاڑوں سے آنیوالے سیلابی ریلوں نے ضلع کے 500 دیہات ڈبو ددیئے ہیں اور لوگ کھلے آسمان تلے بیٹھے ہیں۔ پنجاب کے علاقوں ڈیرہ غازی خان اور راجن پور کی تحصیل روجھان کی بھی 70 فیصد آبادی زیر آب ہے۔
