VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Applications are invited on the prescribed form for the under mentioned teaching and non teaching positions for Quaid-e-Awam University College of Engineering, Science & Technology, Larkano, so as to reach the office of undersigned on or before 23.10.2012 during the office hours.  Applications should include two latest photographs; bio-data, attested Photostat copies of Certificates and names of two refrees.  Application forms can be obtained from the office of Assistant Registrar (Coord/Meetings) during the working hours against the payment of Rs.1000/-.through Bank Challan/DD (non refundable) as processing fees. A. Teaching Positions.

Mathematics	BPS-21 (40000-2600-76400) OR On consolidated contract Salary	Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant field of Engineering/Mathematics from HEC recognized university. Experience: twelve (12) years teaching / research experience in a HEC recognized institution/ college /university.   OR Twelve (12) years professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization out of which 5-years must be teaching experience. Research Publications: 12 research publications with at least 03 publications during last five years in HEC/PEC recognized Journals.
2-   ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR i)      Civil Engineering. ii)     Mechanical Engineering. iii)    Electronic Engineering. iv)    Electrical Engineering. v)     Mathematics	BPS-20 (36000-2350-68900) OR On consolidated contract Salary	Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant field of Engineering/Mathematics from HEC recognized university. Experience: seven (07) years teaching / research experience in a HEC recognized institution/ college /university.   OR Seven (07) years professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization out of which 2-years must be teaching experience. Research Publications: 08 research publications with at least 02 publications during last five years in HEC/PEC recognized Journals.
3-     ASSISTANT PROFESSOR          i)      Civil Engineering. ii)     Mechanical Engineering. iii)    Electronic Engineering. iv)    Electrical Engineering. v)     Mathematics vi)    Computer Science.	BPS-19 (31000-1600-63000) OR On consolidated contract Salary	Qualification: Ph.D in relevant field of Engineering/Science from HEC recognized University / Institution.  No experience is pre-requisite. OR Master’s Degree (18 years education minimum) in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.   Experience: (02) years teaching / research experience in a recognized institution/college/ university. OR Two (02) years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
4-   LECTURER i)      Civil Engineering. ii)     Mechanical Engineering. iii)    Electronic Engineering. iv)    Electrical Engineering. v)     Mathematics	(BPS-18)  (20000-1500-50000)	Master’s Degree /B.E (First Class) or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field of Engineering with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University / Institution. However, preference will be given to candidates having Masters degree (18 years). No experience is pre-requisite. For Mathematics:     M.Sc./BS (Maths/Statistics)/ four years or                                                 equivalent (total 16 years of education)

 B. Non Teaching Posts

1-   WORKSHOP SUPERINTENDENT	(BPS-18)  (20000-1500-50000)	B.E.  (Mech: Engg:) preferably   in First   Class, or equivalent qualifications  from  a HEC recognized University and 6 years experience in posts of  BPS 17  and above in related field in an Engineering University, Engineering/Technical College or Polytechnic Institute.                             OR B.Tech./three years (Post Matriculation) Diploma in  Mechanical  Technology with 8 years experience in posts of BPS  17  and above in an Engineering University, Engineering/Technical College or Polytechnic Institute.
2-   INTERNAL CHECK OFFICER (ICO)	(BPS-18)  (20000-1500-50000)	M.Com, preferably in First Class, or equivalent qualifications from a HEC recognized University and 6 years Accounts experience in posts equivalent to BPS-17 and above in a University, Board, College, Government Department and / or any recognized Commercial Institution. OR B.Com., preferably in First Class, or equivalent qualifications from a HEC recognized University and 10 years Accounts experience in posts equivalent to BPS-17 and above in a University Board, College, Government Department and /or any recognized Commercial Institution.
3-   LIBRARIAN	(BPS-18)  (20000-1500-50000)	M.A. in Library Science, preferably in First Class, or equivalent qualifications from a HEC recognized University and 6 years experience in Library Administration in posts equivalent to BPS-17 in a University, Board, College and / or a library of repute.
4-     ASSISTANT CONTROLLER OF      EXAMINATIONS	BPS-17 (16000-1200-40000)	M.A./M.Sc/B.E., preferably in first class, or equivalent qualifications from a HEC recognized University and 4 years teaching, and /or administrative (preferably in examinations) experience.
5.      TRANSPORT OFFICER	BPS-17 (16000-1200-40000)	B.E/B.Tech. (Hons.) (Mechanical) preferably in first class from a HEC recognized University with 04 years experience in the related field. OR Three years (post-matriculation) Diploma certificate from SBTE in Auto-Technology with 08 years experience of Transport work.

INSTRUCTIONS / FURTHER INFORAMTION:

• Candidates applying for the posts of Professor and the Associate Professor need to submit four copies of their Research Publications, properly binded.
• Candidates who are already serving in Government/Semi-Government and Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel accompanied by NOC from the employer and such incumbents will be responsible for getting themselves relieved properly from their departments.  An advance copy of the application(s) may be sent, so as to reach within due date.
• Maximum age limit is 45 years; relaxable in cases of Government/Semi Government employees in exceptional cases. 
• In case of non availability of candidate(s), Age may be relaxed.  However, there shall be no relaxation for qualification, publications and experience.
• Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council as Professional Engineer is mandatory wherever necessary.
• Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application form(s) along with bank draft/ challan with necessary documents for each post.
