Terrorism cannot be ruled out in Karachi factory fire: Malik

KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday rejected the preliminary report on the Karachi factory fire adding that the element of terrorism behind the incident could not be ruled out and that other aspects into the incident were being examined, Geo News reported.

While talking to media persons during his visit at the site of the tragic factory fire, Malik said that there was no confirmation in the report about the generator or boiler of the factory exploding and that simultaneous incidents of fire at factories in Lahore and Karachi could be an act of terrorism.

Malik said that the factory had caught fire twice in the past and yet the owners made no safety arrangement adding that an insurance claim for a previous fire at the factory was also being investigated

The interior minister added that no one was being harassed and issued a warning to the factory owners to co-operate with the investigations or else they would be dealt strictly according to the law.

Furthermore the interior minister said that no guilty party would be spared and that investigations would take place to identify people responsible for the incident and those responsible for the slow pace and negligence during the rescue operations.

Malik lauded the performance of the police adding that nothing more could be said for sure until the investigation process had concluded.کراچی…وفاقی وزیرداخلہ رحمان ملک کا کہنا ہے کہ فیکٹری مالکان کو ہراساں نہیں کیا جائے گا اور آگ لگنے کے اصل محرکات کا جائزہ لے رہے ہیں۔یہ بات انہوں نے سانحہ بلدیہ میں متاثر ہونے والی فیکٹری کے دورے کے بعد میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ انٹیلی جنس رپورٹ کے مطابق شہر میں دہشت گردی کا خطرہ موجود ہے۔ پولیس نے سانحہ کی رپورٹ بھی دی۔پہلی رپورٹس کے مطابق جنریٹر ٹرپ ہوا تو آگ لگی اور بوائلر بھی اس کے قریب تھا۔ رحمان ملک کا کہنا تھا کہ ماہرین کی تحقیقاتی رپورٹ میں بوائلر اور جنریٹر بھی نظر آرہا تھا۔ابھی تک کی رپورٹس میں ایسا لگتا ہے کہ الیکٹرک چارج اتنا زیادہ تھا کہ وہ جل گیا۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ جتنے مجرم ہوں گے ان کو کسی صورت نہیں چھوڑیں گے۔ تین نکات پر تحقیقات کی جارہی ہے۔ دشمن کراچی کو غیر مستحکم کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ رحمان ملک کا کہنا تھا کہ جنریٹر والی رپورٹ غلط ہے کیونکہ وہ صحیح کام کر رہا تھا۔ فیکٹری میں آگ بوائلر اور جنریٹر کی وجہ سے نہیں لگی۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ کسی کو حراساں نہیں کیا جائے گا لیکن کسی بھی ملوث شخص کو نہیں چھوڑا جائے گا۔ جس نے بھی غفلت کی اس کو کیفر کردار تک پہنچا یا جائے گا واقعے میں دہشتگردی کا عنصر شامل ہے۔ وفاقی وزیر داخلہ کا کہنا تھا کہ فائر بریگیڈ کتنی دیر میں پہنچا اس کی بھی تحقیقات کی جارہی ہیں۔
