An actress who appeared in the anti-Islamic video that set off
violent protests in the Muslim world filed a lawsuit against the
presumed writer-producer on Wednesday, saying he duped her into thinking
it was a story about ancient Egyptians.
Shopkeepers and labourers shut down markets and factories in
several Indian cities Thursday as part of a 24-hour strike to protest
against government reforms that will allow foreign retail giants such as
Tesco, Walmart and Carrefour to open in India.
